Lubinski, Sundaye

Sundaye Marie (Becker) Lubinski, 75, of Bernalillo, N.M., died Jan. 4, 2026. Mrs. Lubinski retired as an accessibility coordinator for students with disabilities at Jefferson College. She was a Christian and participated in Crocheting for Christ. She was known for her kindness and for helping those in need. In addition to crocheting, she also was a talented quilter who enjoyed crafting. She loved nature and had a multitude of interests. Born May 21, 1950, in Blairsville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ella (Turrentine) Lewis and Robert Becker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of five years: Jerry Lubinski; and her former husband: Edward Dorse Harrison.

She is survived by two children: Jodi (Patrick) Forhan of Bloomsdale and Jenna Heckethorn of Bloomsdale; two grandchildren: Apollo Forhan of Portland, Ore., and Jocelyn Fallert of St. Louis; three siblings: Robin Ganor of Wild River, Ill., Tonya Lewis of Bernalillo, N.M., and Lisa Gardner of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; five cousins: Larry Sadler, David Sadler, Jodi Becker, Grover Finn and Steve Becker; three stepsiblings: Pam Barnett, Theresa Becker and Kathy Becker; and many other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a sibling: Donald (Donnie) Lewis.

A celebration of life is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Taytro’s Bar and Bistro, 331 N. Creek Drive, in Festus. Memorials may be made to Raptor Rescue Inc., 4089 Country Club Drive, Imperial, 63052, or to Uplift Shelter, 609 Wallace Road, Farmington, 63640.
