Steven L. Fielder, 62, of De Soto died Aug. 27, 2024. Mr. Fielder was an equipment operator for the Jefferson County Highway Department. He volunteered with the De Soto City Fire Department. Born Nov. 17, 1961, in St. Louis, he was the son of Hazel Loreda (Oguin) Fielder of De Soto and the late Lester M. Fielder.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children: Stephanie (Rafael) Rivera of De Soto and Lance (Kate) Fielder of Ste. Genevieve; four siblings: Rhonda (Joe) Manno of De Soto, Hal “Bud” (Beth) Fielder of Hillsboro, Mark Fielder of Windsor and Kelly (Terri) Fielder of Festus; a brother-in-law: Michael Frazier of Arnold; and five grandchildren: Nikolas, Carter, Mason, Robert and Haven.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Sandra Frazier.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N Main, in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the City of De Soto Fire Department, 114 N. Second St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
