Lashley, Steven

Steven Kent Lashley, 64, of Hillsboro died May 13, 2024. Mr. Lashley was an entrepreneur and started a business from his home that has since outgrown multiple warehouses. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a degree in communications. He was a member of the Meramec Community Symphonic Band where he played French horn. He loved spending time with his family. Born March 13, 1960, he was the son of Elaine (Holman) Lashley and the late Jack Lashley.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years: Victoria (Sherrell) Lashley; two daughters: Wendy (Patrick Grove) Lashley and Erica (Kyle) Huskey; a daughter-in-law: Rebecca Lashley; four siblings: Curtis (Tamara) Lashley, Brian (Joan) Lashley, Lisa (Steve) Isom and Mark (Julie) Lashley; five grandchildren: Haley Huskey, Lillian Lashley, Mollie Grove, Cole Huskey and Emmalyn Lashley; a great-grandchild: Santiago Aguilar-Lashley; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Scott Lashley; and a granddaughter: Lauren Lashley.

Visitation is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth Street, in Hillsboro. A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s local food pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
