Shirley Jean Brown, 90, of Imperial died Aug. 31, 2025. Ms. Brown was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She was an avid crocheter for more than 50 years. Passionate about cooking for others, she was known as a standout at family gatherings for her ultimate potato salad and delicious pumpkin rolls. Born Nov. 2, 1934, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Euseba (Mitchell) and Buddy Cobb.
She is survived by two children: Donna (Gary) Kestler and Dawn (Dennis) Loughary; four grandchildren: Chrystal (David) Ray, Blake (Amanda) Kestler, Colin Loughary and Jacob Loughary; three great-grandchildren: Brett Ray, Evanna Kestler and Ellianna Kestler; two siblings: Patricia Coontz and Terry Prater; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Robert Cobb, Marlene Hurt and JoAnn Stephenson.
A celebration of life was held. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
