Sandra Lynn (Haverstick) Byrne, 81, of Arnold died March 3, 2026, in St. Louis. Mrs. Byrne enjoyed cooking meals that brought people together, reading and sewing and crafting pieces with patience and care. Her hands were rarely still, creating something for someone she loved. Above all, she loved caring for and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity and love. Born Jan. 20, 1945, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Bradford) Haverstick.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Christopher Byrne Jr.
She is survived by two children: Christopher (Maria) Byrne III and Pamela (Robert) Schmidt; four grandchildren: Madeline (Zach) Myers, Leo Byrne, Tyler Schmidt and Maggie (Jason) Frederick; three great-grandchildren: Genevieve, Rosalie and Oliver; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two siblings: David Haverstick and Wanda Fore.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
