Sally Ann Squires, 80, of Festus died Jan. 28, 2025, at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing in Crystal City. Mrs. Squires was a retired sales representative for the old Venture and Kmart in Crystal City. She enjoyed reading Reader’s Digest and going to Sunday family gatherings. Born Oct. 19, 1944, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Grace (Welch) and Hubert Warden.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard H. Squires.
She is survived by a son: Dean (Lisa Edburg) Squires of Valles Mines; two daughters: Belinda (Steve) Cornish of Pevely and Barbara (Paul) Smith of Festus; a sister: Sue (the late Bob) Malloy of Oregon; a brother: Keith (Mary) Warden of Festus; five grandchildren: Kayla (Anthony) Ortolan, Amanda (Jeff) Maschek, Lauren (Jordan) Peery, Christina Smith and Katy Edburg; seven great-grandchildren: Aiden, Aubree, Everett, Deston, Riley, Destony and Justus; and many other also family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Shelby (the late Leroy) Jones.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Dawna Watkins of the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
