Ruth Ann Williams, 97, of Pevely died Jan. 6, 2026, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home in Crystal City. Mrs. Williams was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed being outdoors, including camping, fishing and small game hunting with her husband. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting, collecting wild herbs, appreciating wildflowers and taking care of her yard. Born Aug. 8, 1928, in Maxville, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Hock) and Robert Roesch.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene “Barney” Williams.
She is survived by a son: Robert (Deborah) Williams of Imperial; a daughter: Barbara (Walt) Diel of Inverness, Fla.; a sister: May (the late Gene) Olson of Hillsboro; four grandchildren: James, Oli, Christopher and Joshua; and two great-grandchildren: Charley and Keiren.
She also was preceded in death by four siblings: Mary (the late Wilber) Sprock, Robert (the late Mary) Roesch, Elsie (the late Ralph) Zesch and Russell (the late Melba) Roesch.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Thursday, Jan. 15, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank. Burial will be in Herculaneum Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
