Ruby Lillie Watson, 84, of De Soto died April 16, 2025. Ms. Watson was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, shopping, going for drives and, most importantly, spending time with her family. She was a member of Agape Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Valles Mines. Born Aug. 7, 1940, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Lee Gowen and Effie (Kennedy) Gowen.
She is survived by two sons: Delmar "Ray" (Sandy) Watson Jr. of De Soto and Lee (Deanna) Watson of De Soto; three sisters: Hazel McKenzie of Ocean Springs, Miss., Margie Reynolds of De Soto and Joyce Thompson of Festus; four grandchildren: Lee (Nicole) Watson, Rachel Watson, Ashley Watson and Cody Watson; four great-grandchildren: Zaiden, Arabella, Emeri and Westin; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Earnest A. Gowen, Raymond E. Gowen, Alvin L. Gowen, Glenn G. Gowen and Willard J. Gowen.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
