Rubena Crites, 74, Festus

Rubena Crites, 74, of Festus died Jan. 1, 2024, at Fountainbleau Nursing Home in Festus. Born Dec. 30, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Kell) and Phillip Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leon C. Crites.

She is survived by three children: Rebecca (Craig) Robinson, Melinda (Andy) Moore and John (Trudy) Crites, all of Festus; a brother: Henry (Debra) Jones of Festus; and eight grandchildren: Rachel, Andy and Michael Robinson, Joseph, Nate and Rylie Moore, and Adilyn and Jax Crites.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Deon Crites; and two sisters: Jean (the late Phillip) Fuglsang and Phyllis (Edward survives) Hyde.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon, Friday, Jan. 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Thomas Worsham. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Andy Habsieger Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
