Rosemary Clementine Theresa “Rosie” Schrader, 94, of St. Louis died Jan. 13, 2025. Ms. Schrader was a graduate of St. Mary Magdalen School in Brentwood and Webster Groves High School. She retired from Webster Publishing/McGraw Hill after 44 years. She enjoyed traveling to England, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and across the U.S., caring for children and ballroom dancing. She also competed and won many awards for the waltz, foxtrot, tango, quickstep, Viennese waltz, cha cha, West Coast swing, and rumba. Born July 15, 1930, in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ambrose and Mary Josephine (Hufker) Schrader.

She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews: Carlyn Schrader, Bill Schrader, Mary Kay Schrader, Ron Schrader, Sue (Schrader) Skoklo, Sandy Schrader, Rosie (Schrader) Stobie, Robert Schrader, Stephanie (Schrader) Johnson, Randy Schrader, Marji Schrader, Donna Ogle, Russell “Rusty” Ogle and Dottie Ogle; Just Dancing Studio family: David Nyemchek Sr., Suzy Nyemchek, Valerie (Nyemchek) Fox, Sebastian Fox, Victoria (Nyemchek) Navarrete, Natalia Rose, Charlie Navarrete, Mateo Navarrete and David Nyemchek Jr.; her dear friend: Cathy Kennedy; and six cousins: Barbara Sandgren, Betty Stromberg, Connie Stromberg, Mary Stengel, Art Behrens and Charles “Chuck” Behrens.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Walter Charles Schrader, William A. “Bill” Schrader and Paul Francis Schrader; a sister: Gertrude Ann “Trudy” Ogle; a nephew: Paul Robert Ogle; and a niece: Diana Lynn (Ogle) Williams.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. John the Beloved Disciple Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road., in Imperial. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
