Ronald Eugene Wansley, 82, of Crystal City died March 14, 2026, at his home. Mr. Wansley enjoyed decorating his home, fixing hair, playing cards and singing. Most of all, he loved cooking and baking, dressing nicely and smelling good. Born April 8, 1943, in Festus, he was the son of the late Willard Smith and Thelma B. (Wansley) Casey.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Rose Wansley.
He is survived by five daughters: Brenda (Freddie) Mayes of Festus, April (James) Heard of St. Louis, Veronica Wansley of Festus, Katherine Moody of DeSoto, Texas, and Dena Wansley Kamon of Crystal City.
He also was preceded in death by his brothers: Earl Wansley, Spencer Smith and Earl Smith.
A private visitation is scheduled from 9-10 a.m., with a public visitation scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Friday, April 3, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
