Rodney Louis Kelly, 65, of Pevely died Aug. 7, 2025, in Festus. Mr. Kelly was a painter for Union Pacific. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Church of God in De Soto. Born Sept. 2, 1959, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Gertrude Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 15 years: Bonnie Kelly.
He is survived by his significant other of 20 years: Dena Dobbs of Pevely; a son: Rodney (Sarah) Kelly Jr. of St. Louis; two daughters: Whitney Bates of De Soto and Deleshia Shores of St. Louis; three brothers: Randy Kelly of Festus, Charles (Bert) Kelly of Festus and Michael (Shyan) Kelly of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters: Charlotte (Bruce) Aubuchon of Tiff and Lorna "Tiny" Nichols of St. Louis; a granddaughter: Monroe Kelly; a grandson: Antonio Da'Mir Harris; a sister-in-law: Peggy Bingham of O’Fallon; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Bingham; and a sister: Dorothy "Sissy" (John) Douthit.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until services at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Bishop Ronald Luellen Sr. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
