Robert T. Byerly, 80, of Imperial died Feb. 6, 2026, at his home. Mr. Byerly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968 and worked as an industrial electrician. He was a devoted Christian and was known for helping others in need. He enjoyed bowling, appreciating classic cars, especially Camaros and Corvettes, and having game nights with his family. He will be remembered for his gentle nature and kindness. Born July 15, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mary (Taylor) and Silas Byerly.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Lynda (Wildermuth) Byerly of Imperial; three children: Dan (Kim) Byerly of Imperial, Sheryl Byerly (Lucas) Melton of Barnhart and Peter Byerly of Imperial; two siblings: Paul (Jeanne) Byerly of Catawissa and Richard (Joetta) Byerly of Imperial; six grandchildren: Alyssa Byerly of Tampa, Fla., Hannah (Grindell) Byerly of Festus, Landan Byerly of Imperial, Taylor Byerly of Bixby, Okla., Caed Byerly of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Willow Byerly of Bixby, Okla.; two great-grandchildren: Easton Grindell and Evelyn Grindell; and Mark (Karen) Agnew of Festus.
Services were held Feb. 11 at Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County, officiated by Pastor Michael Shepard. Burial was in Lakewood Park Cemetery in Affton. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
