Robert Ronnie Sullivan, 90, of De Soto died Dec. 25, 2024, at Cape Girardeau Veterans Home. Mr. Sullivan served as U.S. Air Force Supply Sergeant from 1952 to 1960 and retired from Teamsters Local 688 in 1989. After retirement, he became an avid runner, pursued several interests and became a lifetime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He loved singing and dancing with his wife and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, generosity and heart of gold. Born Feb. 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Genevive “Jennie” Sedosky and Robert Timothy Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years: Yvonne “Tootsie” (Boyer) Sullivan.
He is survived by four children: Laura (Dewey) Martin of O’Fallon, Keith Sullivan of Honolulu, Hawaii, Greg (Deanna) Sullivan of Wildwood and Barb (Joe) Richmeyer of De Soto; five grandchildren: Max (Emily) Hacker of Denver, Colo., Gabrielle (Christian) Molitor of St. Louis, Jordan Sullivan of JeJu Island, South Korea, Joseph Richmeyer of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Grace Richmeyer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a great-grandson: Harrison Hacker of Denver, Colo.; and many other family members and friends.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Cape Girardeau Veterans Home, 2400 Veterans Memorials Drive, Cape Girardeau, 63701. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
