Robert G. Wade, 66, of De Soto died Oct. 31, 2023, at his home. Mr. Wade was a glazier tradesman and was an active member of Local 513. Born Nov. 18, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Audrey L. (Ruhland) and Charles F. Wade.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years: Kathleen (Somogye) Wade.
He is survived by a companion: Carol Grass of De Soto; three children: Stephanie Kerth of St. Petersburg, Fla., Katelyn Pfeiffer of St. Louis and Robert J. (Mallory) Wade of Popular Bluff; three grandchildren: Isabella Pfeiffer of St. Louis, Addison Pfeiffer of St. Louis and Meadow Wade of Popular Bluff; three siblings: Barbara Milligan of St. Louis, Lawrence Wade of Imperial and Sally Thomas of Festus; in-laws: Jerry (Janet) Somogye of De Soto and Ron (Marlene) Somogye of Spring Hill, Fla.; as well as many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a sister-in-law: JoAnne Lewis.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Due to Mr. Wade’s love of gardening, memorials may be made in the form of living plants instead of floral arrangements. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
