Robert C. Dyle, 76, of Bonne Terre died April 3, 2024, at NHC Desloge Nursing Home. Mr. Dyle graduated from Festus High School. He was a member of the Elks, VFW and the Masonic Lodge in St. Marys, Ga. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. In his free time, he enjoyed playing basketball. Born Aug. 27, 1947, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Florence Loraine Lancaster and Robert Clarence Dyle.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Mary Lou (Kyle) Dyle; a sister: Lisa Dyle of Arnold; a granddaughter: Trista Lynn Thompson of Bonne Terre; and three great-grandchildren: Zuzanna, Madeline and Noah.
He was preceded in death by a son: Robert Christopher Dyle; a daughter: Tammy Lynn (Billy survives of Alabama) Thompson; an infant daughter; and three brothers: Johnny Dale (Barbara Jean survives of Bonne Terre) Dyle, Paul Wayne (the late Alice) Dyle and Danny Lee (Judy survives of Corning, Ark.) Dyle.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Burial with full military honors will follow in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
