Richard E. “Rick” Rosener, 73, of Potosi died April 14, 2026. Raised in Crystal City, Mr. Rosener enjoyed anything with a motor, riding his side-by-side, telling stories, playing the lottery and spending time with the people he loved. He retired from Sapaugh after many years of service. Most recently, he worked part-time for his granddaughter, a role he took pride in and enjoyed. He was known as a devoted family man and will be remembered for his love, presence and dedication. Born Feb. 3, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert and Emma Rosener.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Angela Long Rosener; two children: Jennifer Anderson and Janet (Todd) Cain; a sister: Jackie (Patrick) Tinnin; five grandchildren: Gabrielle Gray, Clayton Anderson, Morgan Ponder, Chelsie (Jesse) Pashia and Hanna (Rocky) Crocker; and six great-grandchildren: Laela, Brantley, Paige, Jackson, Owen and Claire.
He was preceded in death by a son: James Johnston.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 5 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Father Zac Povis. A meal will follow at the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
