Brian Owen Odie Mayhall, 40, of High Ridge allegedly was found with substances that tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl following a traffic stop by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, court records show.
Mayhall has been charged with felony first-degree drug trafficking. On May 20, he was released on a $7,500 bond from the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, and he was scheduled to appear in court on May 27, according to court documents.
A deputy on Oct. 25, 2025, stopped a 2002 Dodge Ram because the pickup’s taillights were not working. Mayhall was in the passenger’s seat, and he appeared to be moving items on the dashboard before being asked to exit the pickup, according to the case’s probable-cause statement.
The deputy allegedly found two bags that had brown and white crystal-like substances inside them in the passenger’s side door, and a bag with multiple pill capsules were found lodged in the cracked dashboard, the report said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol on Feb. 18 identified the substances as meth and fentanyl. The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reported Mayhall had more than 49 milligrams of fentanyl, which is almost five times the requisite amount for drug trafficking charges, according to court documents.
Mayhall is considered a persistent offender because he has been convicted for at least two prior felonies. He was found guilty in October 2014 of possession of a controlled substance in St. Louis County, and he was found guilty in June 2025 of possession of a controlled substance in Jefferson County, court records show.
