Aubuchon, Richard

Richard E. Aubuchon, 80, of Watertown, Wis., formerly of Crystal City, died May 24, 2025, at his home. Mr. Aubuchon grew up in Crystal City and attended Washington University in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. While serving, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After his military service, he worked for Brandt Equipment Co. and later Braun Manufacturing Co. until his retirement. He enjoyed electronics, relaxing with a good movie and spending time with family and friends. Born Feb. 7, 1945, in Festus, he was the son of the late Earl and Estelle (Roth) Aubuchon.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend: Sharon Stark; a daughter: Denise (Craig) Stellhorn; three grandchildren: Dane Stellhorn, Lucas Stellhorn and Brooke Stellhorn; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: James Aubuchon and Donald Aubuchon.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffen Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
