Patricia Ann “Pat” Foster, 96, of Barnhart died Jan. 17, 2024, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Mrs. Foster was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed her lifelong friendships in all the places she called home and will be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends. She enjoyed a very energetic and active life, which included doing yoga on the beach until she was 93 and parasailing at the age of 83. Born April 7, 1927, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of the late Henrietta (Fennewald) and Patrick Shocklee.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Calvin Lee Foster.
She is survived by her three children: Judith Ann (the late Hal) Cart of Des Peres, Jean (Charles) Miller of Barnhart and Karen Foster of Festus; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a son: David Foster; three siblings: Elvira Volk, Rita Deraps and Mary Lee Shocklee; and an infant brother.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial. Burial will follow in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials be made to Preferred Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
