
Patricia A. “Pat” Bierman, 83, of Columbia, Ill., formerly of Arnold, died Sept. 15, 2025, in St. Louis. Mrs. Bierman was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arnold. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was involved in their upbringing. She was an artistic person who loved to crochet, knit, sew and make all kinds of crafts. She also loved to make Christmas cookies every year and has passed down her favorite recipes to her family. She took up quilting and made many beautiful family heirlooms. Born April 21, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Scott) and Robert Wagoner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Lawrence S. “Larry” Bierman.
She is survived by two children: Misti Schneider and Brenda (Larry) Pennock; two grandchildren: Jessica (Josh) Range and Dalton (Tanner) King; two great-grandchildren: Myla and Evy Range; a brother: Daniel (Mary) Wagoner; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert (Jan) Scott and Donald (Sue) Wagoner.
The family would like to thank the staff of Garden Place of Columbia, where Mrs. Bierman lived for many years, and deGreef Hospice House for their kindness and care. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3511 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, officiated by Pastor Bruce Elliot. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
