Harmon, Pamela

Pamela Sue “Pam” Harmon, 78, of Festus died May 12, 2025, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Crystal City. Mrs. Harmon was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and worked at Wee Care Learning for 30 years. She loved children, rescuing animals, working in her yard and cooking for her family. She will be remembered for kindness and generosity. Born April 8, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Betty Rose (Bennett) and Arch J. Manley.

She is survived by her husband: Thomas Harmon; four children: Kelly (Jim Gaffney) Bequette of Festus, Colleen (Mark) Short of Festus, Kathy (Philip) Kirkland of Crystal City, and Brian Harmon of Festus; a sister: Debbie Barnhart of Springfield; an aunt: Judy (the late Donald) King of Festus; nine grandchildren: Courtney (Jesse Hayes) Bequette, Abby (Michael) Miller, Anna (Jeffrey) Littrell, Trevor (Carly) Short, Carson Short, Braden Harmon, Jacob Harmon, Reese Harmon and Bruna Mazetto; and six great-grandchildren: Marcella, Stella, Vera, Lane, Dallas and Amelia Short.

Visitation is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Sacred Heart Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Michael Boehm. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Road, House Springs, 63051, or Brendan’s Friday Backpacks, 3259 Burning Tree Lane, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
