Norman L. “Flea” Rudisaile, 82, of Scotia, N.Y., formerly of Festus, died Aug. 10, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital. Mr. Rudisaile grew up in Festus and was a 1963 Festus High School graduate. He was active in and supportive of the Festus High School athletic programs. Upon graduation, he became a part of several civic organizations including a lifetime member of the Jaycees, Elks Club and the Twin Cities Clown Organization. He was involved in the summer fast-pitch softball programs and bowled at Thunderbird Lanes for many years. He also was a fanatic supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was employed at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis for nearly 15 years before moving to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He started working at the Saratoga Springs Hospital in 1981 and later retired after more than 25 years. He loved spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a caring and giving person. Born Oct. 20, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Williams) and William F. Rudisaile.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley M. (Izzo) Rudisaile.
He is survived by two daughters: Susan (Richard) Robinson of Richmond, Ind., and Marcia (Tom) Sandner of Baltimore, Md.; two sons: Donald Dingmon of Saratoga Springs and Charles (Edna) Dingmon of Richmond, Va.; a sister: Lynn (Eddie) Gardiner of Singapore; two brothers: William H. Rudisaile and George (the late Linda Kay) Rudisaile of Columbia, Mo.; four nieces: Laura (Bill) Jarvis of Virginia, Sheri (Barry) Beshears of West Virginia, Mia Brooklyn and Ellee Kay Rudisaile of Columbia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many extended family members and the employees of Saratoga Hospital.
He also was preceded in death by two sons: Joseph and Stanley Dingmon.
Visitation and services were held Aug. 20 at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Homes in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., officiated by his brother, George Rudisaile. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center, 1051 Riverside Dr., New York, NY 10032. Arrangements were under the direction of William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Homes.
