Hendrix, Nancy

Nancy Ann (Meinhardt) Hendrix, 61, of House Springs died Oct. 31, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Hendrix was a real estate appraiser for the St. Louis County Highway and Traffic department for 23 years. She enjoyed fishing, boating, riding on the back of a Harley motorcycle and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her dog, Wally, and all of her past dogs very much. Born Dec. 12, 1961, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Burton) and Kenneth Meinhardt.

She is survived by her husband: Ravin Hendrix; four children: Jason (Natalie Laws) Schnapp of Dittmer, Ben (Brittany) Schnapp of House Springs, Rachel (Chris McLaughlin) Schnapp of Washington and Travis (Megann) Hendrix of Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren: Samantha, David, AdaBelle, Cole and Lucille; a great-grandson: Jace; one great-granddaughter to be born; seven siblings: Debbie Burgess of Pollard, Ark., James (Janice) Meinhardt of Crestwood, Joan (Stanley) Claus of St. Charles, Michael (Theresa) Meinhardt of Dittmer, Susan Eakers of Moline, Ill., Mary Theresa Yount of Lebanon and Marion (Scott Hazelett) Meinhardt of Eureka; 17 nieces and nephews; and numerous family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son: Adam Schnapp.

Services were held Nov. 4 at Jay B. Smith Chapel in Fenton. A celebration of life followed at the Elks in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements were under the direction of J.B. Smith Funeral Home.
