Michael Bruce Maness, 71, of Festus died April 15, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Maness worked for the Crystal City Water Department. He enjoyed barbecuing, hunting, fishing, tending to his garden, woodworking and photography. He was a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721, VFW and the American Legion. Born April 26, 1953, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Donald Hue and Frieda Mae (Seabaugh) Maness.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Barbara Marie (Miller) Maness of Festus, whom he married on Nov. 26, 1971, in Crystal City; a son: Mike Maness of Crystal City; two daughters: Michelle (Mark) Yuengel of Bonne Terre and Christy (John) Thurman of Crystal City; two brothers: Steve (Vicki) Maness of Bonne Terre and Donnie Maness of Ste. Genevieve; five grandchildren: Katelyn Yuengel, Rebecca Yuengel, Elizabeth Maness, Brittani Cibulka and Lexi Thurman; two great-grandchildren: Joseph and Aubree; and many other family members and friends.
