Maurice E. Hill, 85, of Pevely died Jan. 21, 2025, in Crystal City. Mr. Hill worked as a truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Van Buren, he was the son of the late Bessie (Keathley) and Luster Hill.
He is survived by his wife: Janet L. (Hagen) Hill of Pevely; four children: David (Jennifer) Hill of Columbia, Ill., Julia (Steve Hall) Rudden of St. Louis, Tracey (Carl) Imhof of Arnold and Jamie (Stephen) Powers of Pevely; 10 grandchildren: Nicholas, Jeremy, Victoria, Casey, Adrienne, Alex, Tyler, Karleigh, Cora and Kai; 20 great-grandchildren: Talon, Easton, Elaina, Mia, Ellie, Anthony, Felicity, Dominic, Natalie, Elise, Hannah, Tanner, Madison, Remy, Kinsley, Lettie, Rowyn, Allysa, Devyn and Duttyn; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a child: Dana (Steve survives) Updyke.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
