Matthew Steven Windes, 34, of Arnold died March 29, 2024. Mr. Windes worked as a contractor for C.L. Smith Ceramics. He was a member of Arnold First Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, listening to music and spending time with family. Born July 17, 1989, in St. Louis, he was the son of Everett “Steve” (Kimberly) Windes of Imperial and Renee (Tony) (Whitt) Miller of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons: Matthew Steven “Layne” Windes of Festus and Brayden Michael Windes of Benton; a daughter: Alexis Danielle Windes of Benton; four brothers: Alex Ryan Windes of Arnold, William Landry Windes of Imperial, Everett Paul Windes of Imperial and Joseph Robert (Melissa) Gray of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters: Elizabeth Ann Gray of St. Louis and Stephanie Ann Windes of Imperial; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Wednesday, April 10, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus, officiated by Brother John Weaver. Burial will follow in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
