Mary Hohlt, 80, of Festus died Jan. 9, 2024, at her home. Ms. Hohlt was a retired cook and homemaker. Born Sept. 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Hosford and Orville Brandon.
She is survived by four children: Dennis (Catherine) Bast of Bonne Terre, Cheryl (Paul) McKnight of Festus, Christine (Paul) Belleville of Festus and Jeffery (Patrisha) Bast of Festus; eight grandchildren: Nathan Belleville of Festus, Samual Shanks of Festus, Shawn Bast of Pleasant Hill, Ill., Cassidy Belleville of De Soto, Chrissy Erxleben of Cuba, Cindy Radford of Crystal City, Danny (Siera) Weindel of South County and David Weindel of Bonne Terre; and eight great-grandchildren: Ayden Bast and Zaylee Bast of Pleasant Hill, Ill. Landon, Haliey, Chelsie, Grayson Erxleben of Cuba, Trevor and Connor Radford of Crystal City.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Betty Hurst, Willma Rauss and Dorathy Tucker; two grandchildren: Joseph and Elizabeth Bast; and two great-grandchildren: Summer and Logan Shanks.
A visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. until a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Fey Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis. Private burial will be in Concordia. Arrangements are under the direction of Fey Funeral Home.
