O'Hara, Mary

Mary E. O'Hara, 78, of Arnold died Nov. 3, 2023. Mrs. O’Hara was a den mother and Girl Scout leader for many years and was a supporter of Bikers Against Child Abuse. Born Sept. 21, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of John Henry and Bernice Mae (Ford) Harrington.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William "Bill" O'Hara.

She is survived by four children: Kelly (Gregory) Taylor, Brian (Valerie) O'Hara, Kerry (Joseph) Checkett and William (Erica) O'Hara; seven grandchildren: Caitlyn (Josh) Ward, Farris (Jaimie) Ward, Miranda (Craig) Bolt, Zoe O'Hara, Joey Checkett, Aidan O'Hara and Michael O'Hara; a great-grandchild: Adeline Schneider; a brother: Jim Harrington; as well as many other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers: John Harrington and Joe Harrington

Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Chapter of Bikers against child abuse, 12430 Tesson Ferry Road, PO Box 203, 63128. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
