Mary Beatrice Brown, 96, of Barnhart died May 26, 2024. Mrs. Brown was a member of Mattese Baptist Church and later became a member of the Golden Links at Starling Road Baptist Church. Born Aug. 29, 1927, in Brinkley, Ark., she was the daughter of the late William Minor and Gracie Ulva (Wilson) Gordon.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles William Brown.
She is survived by two children: Mike (Dianne) Brown and Patrick Brown; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Dustin) Harwell, Michael (Brennen) Brown and William Brown; a great-grandchild: Madeline Harwell; a sibling: Elgin Gordon; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by five siblings: Jack Gordon, Jean Ferguson, Carlos Gordon, Floyd Gordon and Geneva Hickman.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial will take place in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
