Mary Alice (Statler) Blaylock, 89, of Jackson died July 4, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Blaylock was a past member of the National and Missouri Funeral Directors Association and the Missouri Nurses Association. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist church, an honorary member of the Lions Club, where she was a certified eye enucleator for the Lions Eye Bank. She was known for her active role as a pastor's wife for 60 years. She played the piano, organ and keyboard for church services and occasionally was the choir director. She also served as the bereavement coordinator for the Hannibal Hospice and was a certified lay speaker for the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed researching genealogy for family and friends. Born Aug. 1, 1936, in Sedgewickville, she was the daughter of the late Coy Truman and Mildred Bohnenkamp Statler.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years: the Rev. Donald Ray Blaylock; a brother: Paul (Mildred) Statler of Columbia; two daughters: Sue (Mark) Lukefahr of Perryville and Paula (Eric) Nesbitt of Albuquerque, N.M.; a son: Wesley (Paula) Blaylock of Pevely; eight grandchildren: Rachel (Tyler) Pettingill, Rick (Jana) Dawson, Amanda (Tim) Karch, Becky (Mike) Manfre, Chrissy Lewis, Missy Johnson, Wes (Lynn) Blaylock Jr. and Tommy (Amy)
Dawson; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on July 10 at the Crossroads Methodist Church in Sedgewickville, officiated by Pastor Ron Watts. Interment followed in the Crossroads Methodist Church Cemetery.
