Mary A. Dunlap, 82, of Festus died May 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Dunlap was a member of First Christian Church of Hematite. She had worked at Right Point Pen Co. in Fenton, the APCO service stations in Crystal City and Pevely, Jefferson Memorial Hospital and as a daycare provider. She enjoyed music and spending time with family and her lady friends from church. Born Jan. 2, 1943, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Katie “May” (Vest) and Archie W. Medley.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: William C. Dunlap and Donald E. Boyer.
She is survived by a son: Brian (Linda Grey) Boyer of Festus; a stepson: William L. Dunlap of Farmington; two stepdaughters: Deborah Dunlap of Festus and Kimberly Randall of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters: Jessie (Melvin) Roth of Bloomsdale and Margaret “Maggie” (the late JR) Warren of Indiana; two grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: James (the late Bernice) Scott and Wayne “Joe” (the late Barbara L.) Medley.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at First Christian Church of Hematite, 3711 State Hwy. P, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Phil Bradford. Interment will be in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery of Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
