Thebeau, Lloyd

Lloyd T. Thebeau Jr., 84, of Hillsboro died Nov. 23, 2025, at his home. Mr. Thebeau was a retired foreman at McDonald Douglas and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6401 and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro. He also served in the U.S. Army. In his free time, he enjoyed trout fishing. Born March 28, 1941, in Old Mines, he was the son of the late Mary Irene (Battreal) and Lloyd T. Thebeau Sr.  

He is survived by his wife: Mary “Jane” (Reed) Thebeau of Hillsboro; two children: Laura (Timothy) Gahn of Osage Beach and Brian (Kristi) Thebeau of De Soto; a daughter-in-law: Michelle Thebeau of De Soto; eight grandchildren: Thomas Thebeau Sr.,  Melissa Thebeau, Nicolas (Lauren) Thebeau, Holly (Liz Lindsay) Thebeau, Emily (Brandon) Butler, Meghan (Zachary) Parrott, Matthew Gahn and Natalie Gahn; five great-grandchildren: Wesley and Winston Parrott and Sebastian, Rosalie and Christopher Thebeau; siblings: Ronald (Kathie) Thebeau of Hillsboro, Daniel (Marsha) Thebeau of Farmington, Tony (Theresa) Thebeau of Desloge, Sharon (the late Wayne) Wiley of Hillsboro, James (Connie) Thebeau of Farmington, Barbara (Ray) Coleman of Old Mines, Donald Thebeau of Old Mines and Jeffery Thebeau of Potosi; his best buddy: CurBee; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Thomas Edward Thebeau Sr.; a sister: Patricia (Don) Reed; and his parents-in-law: Allen and Myrtle (Miller) Reed.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 703 Third St., in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Parish Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
