Lawrence Dean Govero, 56, of Park Hills died Aug. 20, 2026, in St. Louis. Mr. Govero worked as a carpenter for McManus Construction. He was known as a hardworking and knowledgeable man who could build just about anything. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the guitar, coaching baseball, fishing and woodworking. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. Born Feb. 3, 1970, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Paul J. Govero and Teresa (Mecey) Govero.
He is survived by his fiancee: Crystal Whited of Park Hills; a son: Lawrence Dean (Emily) Govero II of Bonne Terre; a daughter: Toni (Kelsey) Govero of Columbia, Ill.; four stepdaughters: Kendra (Paul) Johnson, Stephonie Whited, Britney (Jeff) Anderson and Lilyan (Zach) Burgard, all of Park Hills; two brothers: Ron (Judy) Marshall of Mountain Home, Ark., and Paul (Yvette) Govero Jr. of Farmington; and 15 grandchildren: Ryan, Mileigh, Bentley, Brody, Preston, Landen, Ryker, Jayden, Jamesyn, Kyzer, Klayton, Jersey, Rhiver, Rhett and Denver.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Heather Govero.
Services were held Aug. 27 at Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto Chapel. Interment was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto Chapel.
