Kenneth E. Loyd, 87, of Barnhart died Aug. 4, 2024. Mr. Loyd was a member of the Barnhart General Baptist Church. Born Aug. 23, 1936, in Fisk, he was the son of the late Ted and Ida Bell (Sanders) Loyd.
He is survived by three children: Connie (Rick) Rhodes, Darlene Parks and David (Sherry) Loyd; 13 grandchildren: Jennifer, Magan, Richard Bickel III, Karen Bickel, Sarah Ives, Kenny (Tammy) Loyd, Ricky (Monica) Board, Brandon (Amanda) Loyd, David Loyd, Joey McBride, Charles McBride, Kaitlyn and Lindsey; 17 grandchildren: Aaliyah, Mia, Michael, Drew, Julia, Austin, James, Richard IV, Danielle, Marcus, Mariah, Marshall, Anthony, Logan, Miriam, Kirstyn and Halayna; two siblings: Mary Boyer and Christine (Don) Aydelott; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by three children: Diane (Joe) McBride, Karen Loyd and Steve Loyd; and seven siblings: Walter, Cletus, Ralph, Ray, Pauline, Virgil and Sylvia.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
