Kathleen Marie Burnett, 63, of Festus died April 29, 2024. Mrs. Burnett was a supporter of the Special Olympics. She enjoyed diamond painting, reading and spending time with the boys and her family. Born March 5, 1961, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary Louise (Griffin) and John Howard Stevens.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years: Paul Russell Burnett of Festus; two sons: Paul Richard Burnett of Festus and John Russell Burnett of Festus; a brother: John Vincent (Kathy) Stevens of Houston, Texas; two sisters: Patricia K. (Jeff Perry) Wilson of Louisville, Ill., and Sharon Junge of Farmington; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held May 3 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Burial followed in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics Inc., 2945 S. Brentwood Blvd., St. Louis, 63144. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
