An 85-year-old High Ridge-area woman was found dead at about 11:25 a.m. Sept. 14, after driving a car through her garage in the 6500 block of Antire Road. She likely died from a medical emergency, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Dorothy Keisker.

Cpl. Dallas Thompson said this morning that the Highway Patrol is not treating the death as a traffic fatality. He said it looks like the woman had a medical emergency, but her cause of death had not been determined.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said at 11:30 a.m. today, Sept. 15, that the cause and manner of the woman’s death had not been determined.

High Ridge Fire Chief John Barton said when he arrived on the scene, a car had been driven through the lower panels of the garage door and through the wall of the house. When the car came to rest, the front was on the ground, but the back was still hanging in the garage and was about 8-10 feet in the air. Barton said the driver’s door was open and the woman was lying across the front seats.

Thompson said the car was in park and turned off when a family member found the woman hours after the accident.

Barton said the woman had no apparent major injuries from the accident. He also said he believes the woman had a medical emergency.

“We will never know for sure if she had the medical emergency first or if (she had) a medical emergency afterward because of everything that was happening afterward,” he said.
