Joseph “Pat” Jackson, 83, of De Soto died April 14, 2025. Mr. Jackson served in the Army National Guard. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 2214. He had also retired from 30 years of maintenance for Queen’s Realty & Jack Queen. Born May 31, 1941, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Louis Joseph and Esta (Billington) Jackson.
He is survived by his wife: Marge “Marg” (Parker) Jackson of De Soto, whom he married on May 25, 1963, at Silver Springs in Bonne Terre; two children: Joseph P. (Eleanor Woodfin) Jackson Jr. of Washington and Christy (Daniel Stumpe) Jackson-Stumpe of De Soto; four siblings: Richard (Linda) Jackson of Bonne Terre, L. Steve (Verla) Jackson of Park Hills, Sandra Joyce of Bonne Terre and Sharon Henson of Bonne Terre; three brothers-in-law: Larry Lappe of Bonne Terre, Austin Sikes of Bonne Terre and Bob (Pam) Winckel of De Soto; four sisters-in-law: Karen (Ed) Schuh of Hillsboro, Melinda (Dave) McGougan of Eureka, Cheryl (Barry) Byers of Washington and Laurie Winckel of Bonne Terre; and six grandchildren: Hanna Jackson, Cindy Jackson, Chase Boynton, Tristan Boynton, Lucas Boynton and Faith Stumpe.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Sonya Lappe, Marsha Sikes, Pamela Jackson and Helen Beiser; a brother: Robert Jackson; and three brothers-in-law: James Joyce, James Henson and Bruce Winckel.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Saturday, April 19, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Randy Murphy and Deacon Ed Boyer. Entombment will be in St. Francois Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bonne Terre. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
