Jon Allan Majors, 79, of De Soto died Jan. 22, 2024. Mr. Majors worked for Laclede Steel Company for 30 years before retirement. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, appreciating cars, watching Cardinals’ baseball and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Born Nov. 22, 1944, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Dorothy Jane (Kirk) and John Allan Majors.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Ruby J. Majors of De Soto; two daughters: Gina R. (David) Aubuchon of St. Charles and Sara J. (Michael) Kisner of De Soto; two sisters: Patricia A. (the late David) Imming of Highland, Ill. and Kay (the late Randall) Ladd of New London; a granddaughter: Lily (Bradley) Cornman of St. Louis; three grandsons: Jonathan Aubuchon of St. Charles, Connor Kisner of De Soto and Cannon Kisner of De Soto; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: David Imming and Randall Ladd.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29 at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main, officiated by Pastor Mike Rose. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 1001 Craig Road 480, St. Louis, 63146. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
