John Hill, 59, of De Soto died July 18, 2024, at the Veterans Administration Hospital- Jefferson Barracks. Mr. Hill served in the U.S. Army. Born April 27, 1965, in St. Louis, he was the son of Doris Gay Brooks of De Soto.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by five siblings: Jodi (Robert) Bruns of Festus, Tina Clark of Crystal City, Vicki (Byron) Surrell of Huntersville, N.C., Libby (Jason) Brooks of De Soto and Michael Brooks of De Soto; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
