Johnson, Jean

Jean Johnson, 64, of Arnold died Dec. 7, 2025. Mrs. Johnson worked as a tax preparer. She enjoyed crafting, helping and caring for others and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her steady presence and listening ear. Born Nov. 12, 1961, in Olathe, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Betty Jean Terrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years: William “Tommy” Johnson. 

She is survived by a daughter: Amanda (Ryan) Denning of Arnold; two siblings: Cynthia (Robert) Bussard of Arizona and Dave (Linda) Wright of Florida; three grandchildren: Brynlee Denning, Savi Denning and Scarlett Denning; three nieces: Charissa (Angelica) Reynolds of Virginia, Krystal (Kyle) Ward of Kansas City and Starla Wright of Florida; three nephews: Ryan Bussard of Arizona, Chip Crane of Florida and Dom Wright; and five close friends: Lloyd and Debbie Warren of Imperial, Gabbi (Dustin) Recker of Imperial, Nathan (Jess) Warren of Imperial and Henry Warren of Imperial. 

She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Amy Marie Fritz. 

A memorial service is scheduled from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Meramec Arnold Elks, 1515 Miller Road, in Imperial. Memorials may be made to the American Sudden Infant Death Institute.
