Janie Adair (Byrd) Case, 70, of House Springs died Feb. 3, 2025, in St. Louis. Mrs. Case enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, visiting the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Born Jan. 12, 1955, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Green) and Ralph Byrd.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years: Dan Case; four children: Amber Case-Lane, Austin Case, Danielle Kilts and Leslie Miler; two siblings: Cindy Bright and Chris Byrd; three grandchildren: Audrey (Tabitha) Jones, Braeden Lane and Percy Rosener; several great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Fred Bright.
Visitation and services were held today, Feb. 7, at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and was followed by a luncheon at Peggs on the Boulevard in High Ridge. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s or the de Greeff Hospice House, 10024 Kennerly Road, in St. Louis, 63128. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
