Janet M. Metzger, 82, of St. Louis died Oct. 28, 2024. Ms. Metzger was a member of the YMCA in Festus and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially at the beach. Born July 8, 1942, in Crawfordsville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Dafford Warren and Ethel Mae (Rhodes) Allen.
She is survived by two children: Terrie Metzger and Todd (Alicia) Metzger; two grandchildren: Sean Metzger and Kyle Metzger; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two siblings: Bob Allen and Warren Allen.
A celebration of life visitation is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
