Peterson, James

James “Jim” Peterson, 55, of St. Louis died May 5, 2024, in St. Louis. Mr. Peterson worked in human resources with ClearTech and as a life coach with Connections, primarily with former prisoners. He also worked at UniGroup, Jet Aviation, Knights Limited, the Fox Theatre and Six Flags as well as working as a singer-songwriter for Whiskey and Thunder, Grime Head and The Defenders. He enjoyed practicing judo and received a black belt and many trophies. He also participated in many musical theater productions, such as in “Fiddler on the Roof” and “A Christmas Carol.” He was a 1987 graduate of Northwest High School. Born Jan. 5, 1969, in St. Louis, he was the son of Helen (Badgett) and James A. Peterson.

He is survived by his ex-wife: Lorena; and many other family members, teachers, coworkers, bandmates and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Yorkie: Canito.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
