Helen R. Montgomery, 88, of Pevely died Nov. 27, 2024. Mrs. Montgomery was a retired grocery store cashier. Born Sept. 23, 1936, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Esther (Hagnar) and Eldon Coonrod.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Aaron D. Montgomery.
She is survived by a daughter: Erin (Eric) Burgard of Pevely; six grandchildren: Timmy (Lauren) Burgard, Erica (Drew) Govro, Zachary Burgard, Hunter Burgard, Parker Dean and Gunner Burgard; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
A private burial will be held in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
