Gregory Lynn Huelsman, 71, of Imperial died Nov. 27, 2023, after suffering heart failure. Mr. Huelsman retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2015. He was a lifelong Democrat and an avid St. Louis Blues hockey fan. He enjoyed traveling to see his cows in the Ozarks, deer hunting, fishing, telling stories, playing trivia, watching TV and movies and spending time with family and friends. Born Oct. 20, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Rosemary Huelsman.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Betty (Myers) Huelsman; a daughter: Cindy (Chuck) Klipfel; a son: Gregory Herman (Danielle) Huelsman; three grandchildren: Rosie, Carter and Baylee Huelsman; six siblings: Bruce (Faye), Terry (Shelia), Robert “Dutch”, Jonnee (Geary), Kevin (Patty) and Kimberly (Tim); a sibling-in-law: Pat Sutton; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Keith Huelsman; and a grandmother: Olinda “Lynn” Raftery.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery, 1293 St. Cyr Road, in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the 2024 Democratic candidate of the donor’s choice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
