Geraldine Marie Loyd, 69, of Pevely died Oct. 18, 2024. Mrs. Loyd was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and celebrating every milestone with them. She was dedicated to helping others, her family and her church. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and generous spirit. Born Jan. 1, 1955, in East St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Jeanne and Frank Shake.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Scotty Loyd of Pevely; four children: Scott Loyd of Pevely, Tim (Katy) Loyd of House Springs, Mike Loyd of Festus and Sarah (Vincent) Hilker of Festus; five grandchildren: Brooklyn, Rhys, Declan, Jason and Logan; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a child: Brian Loyd.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., Festus. Burial will be in House Springs. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
