Gerald E. “Jerry” Bauwens, 85, of Lonedell died July 31, 2024, at his home. Mr. Bauwens was a retired union carpenter, Local 47. He took pride in his family and his home. Born May 31, 1939, he was the son of the late Edward and Agnes Bauwens.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Cindy (Hografe) Bauwens; six children: Patty Belleville, Jerry Bauwens, Mark (Angie) Stanley, Michelle Gill, Matt (Amy) Stanley and Melissa (Dave) Mays; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Cheryl Byers; a brother: Ray Bauwens; and a sister-in-law: Linda Bauwens.
Services were held Aug. 7 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial took place in Fairview Cemetery in Luebbering. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
