Gary Linn Edgar Sr., 77, of Barnhart died June 7, 2024, in De Soto. Mr. Edgar worked as a refrigeration factory worker making parts for vending machines. He also was a Boy Scout leader of Troop 416. He enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting guns, going to Rendezvous Participant and spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Born Nov. 17, 1946, in Festus, he was the son of Paula Marie (Blakely) Edgar and the late Otho Glenwood Edgar.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: Shawn (Sherrlyn) Otho Edgar of De Soto and Robert Thomas Edgar of Barnhart; two grandchildren: Em Edgar and Eli Edgar; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Gary Linn Edgar Jr.; and a stepbrother: Jack Edgar.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
