Gary Eugene Hutchison, 74, of Mountain Grove died Sept. 11, 2024, in Hillsboro. Mr. Hutchison retired from the parts department at Lou Fusz Dodge. Born June 16, 1950, in Ava, he was the son of the late Barbara (Hutchison) Vrouvas.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Caroline Sue (Maddox) Hutchison.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years: Phyllis Long of Mountain Grove; five children: Mark (Brenda) Hutchison of Hillsboro, Daron Hutchison of De Soto, Michael (Elizabeth) Hutchison of Fenton, Alyssa (Alex) Wedepohl of Hillsboro and Nathan (Sarah) Long of Vanzant; a sibling: Gregory Vrouvas of Union; numerous grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by grandparents: Herbert and Ida Hutchison.
A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. A celebration of life will follow at the Meramec (Arnold) Elks, 1515 Miller Road, in Imperial. A memorial service in Mountain Grove will take place at a later date.
